A book to treasure full of stunning pictures of live specimens of amazing animals which we fear may become extinct with human preures and climate change. Lots of relevant information and stories about the experience of photographing them. I am saddened but delighted. It bears witne to the world's marvelous creatures living today.

I had got two copies (I only wanted one - my mistake). One copy I kept while the other I gave away and the cover on the spine had some mild peeling, however was otherwise good shape. Good way to support PBS.

The photography in this book is top notch. I love how the layout of the animal photos are on black or white backgrounds. It brings out the details. They are set up in sections with information from the photographer that bring to life meaning and purpose of these animals and the wonderful people that dedicate their lives to them. The animals dont appear in any particular order but there is an index. The book quality is excellent.
