The second season of Grantchester takes the viewer ever deeper into the psyche of each character and keeps us fascinated with each new case that Inspector Geordie Keating and Vicar Sidney Chambers solve together. This unusual pairing is quite believeable, because the vicar stays in his lane as pastor and aids the inspector with his insight into his parishioners, without becoming a vigilante cop. There is suspense and humor, alongside a look into the strength and weaknesses of each well-drawn character.
