Our unique tea towel features details from an 1884 oil study for A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat (French, 1859–1891), from The Met collection. This was Seurat's final study for his famous monumental painting of Parisians at leisure on an island in the Seine, which is now in the Art Institute of Chicago. In this study, contrasting pigments are woven together with small, patchy brushstrokes.
