Wonderful cast and great performances in this program. It is an adult mystery without gore and excessive violence.

I love this trilogy and had to buy it because I knew it would be one of those stories I would watch over and over again. Its an all star cast with a story line that keeps you on the edge. And Bill Nighy, what a man.

How could so much good make junk?
Review by Sleepy B. on 07/17/20 review stating How could so much good make junk?
I set aside time specially so I could see Worricker: Turks Caicos, given the excellent cast, the steamy, exotic locale(s) and the producers Masterpiece Mystery imprimatur. Time wasted, Im afraid, because in their effort to gather the excellent elements (actors, locale, craftspeople) for the production apparently no one read the script. Laden as it was with incongruities, errors, over-use of Hitchcocks McGuffin trademark, and more duplicity than any viewer should be burdened with, the script was one hot mess, as the kids today say. Incidentally, Ive been to the Turks and Caicos, on a honeymoon. While I did recognize glimpses of the Islands most of the show had to have been filmed elsewhere. The Islands are arid coral atolls covered with scraggly brown/beige bushes, despite the various resort owners efforts to fool visitors. The main draw is superb scuba-diving and snorkeling. There were no beaches when I was there, although I guess an entrepreneurial type could have had barges deposit some along the shore.

Excellent as only the Brits can do. Some viewers are so dulled by vapid shows on U.S. network t.v., they cannot appreciate a program that is full of intrigue, suspense and excellent dialogue. Well done BBC and PBS.

Not as good as the first
Review by Lolo on 07/17/20 review stating Not as good as the first
I loved the first show in this trilogy, but this one dragged and for some reason, was just not interesting, despite the energy and talent of Bill Nighy. I hope the third matches the first.

Stumbled onto this episode on PBS while flipping through channels, and was intrigued enough to watch to the end and then made sure I watched the next episode. Liked it enough to watch again on replay. It was captivating. I hope they produce more episodes.

"… totally absorbing." - Variety

"…brilliant, exciting, and politically explosive…" - The Philadelphia Inquirer
