Review by Daniel on 02/03/22 review stating American Experience: CCC
In my opinion, the CCC has not received enough attention in history text books or credit for its good and lasting works. I suspect the reason for this is ideological, with many who impose their will on our education system reluctant to admit any success for public works. This short documentary partially redresses this failure. The show rightly spends time discussing the people who created and staffed it and the immediate good it did. It provides a high level summary of the works that we still enjoy today and suggest it as a prototype for united action on environmental problems of today. My one quibble is lack of a more detailed look at some of those individual projects that are still with us and really would inspire more appreciation of the CCC. Among the examples I am aware of are the trails in Wisconsins Devils Lake State Park (the states most popular park).
