I showed this in an undergraduate course about sports and society. It kept our interest and had a number of observations that fit well into the texts we had been reading. My students noted that it wasnt very positive about the benefits of playing sports, only the negatives. I also noticed that the students in the film who had troubles academically were all African-American, and the students who graduated were all White. The only student to have a pro-career was also African-American, thus the film (inadvertently?) reinforced stereotypes. But other than that I recommend it.
