FRONTLINE: Sex Trafficking in America FRONTLINE presents Sex Trafficking in America, a documentary that tells the stories of young women coerced into prostitution - and follows one police unit that's committed to rooting it out.

In the film, award-winning director Jezza Neumann and producer Lauren Mucciolo (Poor Kids) embed with the Phoenix police unit that's tackling child sexual exploitation, offering an inside look at the lucrative industry through unique access to a series of undercover, high-stakes police operations. They also film with young women who have escaped the trade.

What's revealed is a crime that's both hidden in plain sight and growing - due in part to social media, where traffickers often start to groom and recruit young women and girls.

With extensive and intimate access to local law enforcement, prosecutors, service providers and the women themselves, the film shines a light on the hidden reality of sex trafficking in America.

Great depiction of this evil crime happening to our own kids
Review by Nancy on 11/29/21 review stating Great depiction of this evil crime happening to our own kids
This is a compelling film and shows just how easily our youth stumble into a terrible situation. It truly depicts how a naive young person can make a mistake and send them into the abyss of sex trafficking and the horrors it offers, all for the benefit of men who have no regard for someone elses kid. It also shows how hard law enforcement works to bring the perpetrators to justice, and how the justice system grinds at glacial speed. Although this film has a satisfying result, many similar cases dont.
