FRONTLINE: The Suicide Plan

You have an incurable illness, you want to die, and you want help dying - what can you do? People who are terminally ill and live in Oregon or Washington can openly ask a doctor for help, but in the rest of country, where physician-assisted suicide is illegal, people who are suffering turn in secret to friends, family members, and even activist organizations. In this groundbreaking 90-minute film, FRONTLINE explores the shadow world of assisted suicide, where the lines between legality and criminality are blurred as never before. With intimate access to decisions near the end of life, FRONTLINE takes viewers inside one of the most polarizing social issues of our time - told not only by the people choosing to die, but also by their ""assisters,"" individuals and right-to-die organizations at risk of prosecution for their actions to hasten death.

This documentary could not have been done in a better way. As a long-time member of Compassion and Choices and a follower of all news relating to assisted suicide and similar subjects I appreciate this films take on this vital and necessary subject. Kudos and please, if possible, continue with another documentary.

Extremely well done, great information!!
Review by Ron on 07/10/22 review stating Extremely well done, great information!!
Very well researched and extremely thought provoking (especially when you have love ones or very special friends that are in this situation). We have two, family member and a friend. Pay close attention to the people (jury members (young) and others) who feel this is not right. You need to ask them, if not after going though years of medical torture, if this was your wife, husband, father, mother, etc. would you let them suffer so much!! Its their decision. Finally, you need to ask yourself, over and over again, what is my quality of life.
