Nazi Mega Weapons

In the quest for world domination, the Nazis built some of the biggest and deadliest pieces of military hardware and malevolent technology in history; tanks as big as battleships, superguns blasting shells the weight of an SUV and rocket domes capable of smashing whole cities. They're all part of Hitler's plan to control a nation, conquer a continent and win the war. Today , the remains of these incredible projects can still be found, if you know where to look.

Nazi Mega Weapons follows a group of experts on a dark journey through Europe's mountains, forests and beaches to uncover engineering secrets that have lain hidden for decades and the stories of the men that designed them. Great information. Some of the reenactments are a little too dramatic. But the series is good overall.

Megaweapons is a megahit !
Review by Megajim on 07/17/20 review stating Megaweapons is a megahit !
I have watched many documentaries dealing with German secret weapons of WW 2, but this PBS series stand head and shoulders above anything previously produced on the topic whether it be for broadcast tv or direct to video. The aspect I find most intriguing about the series is the way the producers have not only showed us archival footage of the weapons from WW 2, but have supplemented their coverage with scenes of what remains of these megaweapons in present day. I found the scenes of war historians walking through what remains of the U-boat pens spine tingling. I highly recommened this series for anyone who is a war historian.
