Its very important for educators and students to know all about our nearest relatives in the animal kingdom of our planet. Bonobos, chimps, gorillas and orangutans also have mental abilities, secret mental lives, are able to be trained to communicate with us and among themselves too. Ape Genius really takes the time to walk the extra mile and show how close related humans and primates really are since the point of intellect.

Nice educational resource appropriate for use in high school and undergraduate classrooms. The information is presented clearly and accessibly, and will provide a good starting point for further discussion. The Hollywood-esque dramatic shots of backlit chimps holding sharpened sticks is hilariously campy and will get your students laughing - and perhaps inspire them to pay a bit more attention during class.

14th primate DVD

I saw this on TV and I knew I wanted to get it for my oldest niece. The reason I would get her her 14th DVD about primates? While getting her bachelors at Washington U. in St. Louis, she worked in the primate lab there. I told her that if it is too much of a repeat of previous DVDs, she could donate it to a school library or someplace like that.
