One of the best.

I have a large collection of DVDs on many aspects of science but this is one of my favorites. Beautifully written with fine graphics and music. I think it is the best comprehensive foundation for educating oneself about cosmology, and atomic physics available. The only aspect not covered much is quantum physics. Timothy Ferriss obviously personal infatuation and awe of the big questions about the nature of reality is abundantly evident as is the enthusiasm held by the interviewed scientists. His other major DVD Seeing in the dark is also a must have.

Hidden Gem
Review by Thomas Y. on 07/17/20 review stating Hidden Gem
This documentary is a hidden gem explaining the relationship between physics and astronomy as they inform our understanding of the history of the universe. Speaking with the actual scientists and philosophers who understand and sometimes contributed directly to developments in cosmology, Timothy Ferris creatively weaves a fascinating. enjoyable and historically accurate narrative.
