One of the best overviews of New York City ever made. Having grown up there, it was a fairly comprehensive tour of the Big Apple. Compliments to the producers of this film!

Start Spreading the News

Whenever I need a fix to go back to N.Y. I just pop in my DVD, Visions of New York City from PBS. I was born and raised there and visit whenever I get the chance but, still not as often as I would like. This DVD highlights every point of the city nobody should miss out on if they plan a trip there or just enjoy the sightseeing from the comfort of their home. I know by now the city is so big, you cant do everything in one day, you need to plan to be uptown one day and downtown the next if you want to see do certain things, and actually take them in, not rush through! If you have kids, consider that too, as the city is all hussle and bussle. Everytime I go back, I make it a point to see Broadway, eat certain foods and shop!! Next time I visit, it will be museums and churches, gorgeous architecture. Anyone whom see this beautiful DVD can cover the entire city, but if you plan to visit that is a bonus as you will have an idea of where to go and what to see. Either way, nobody will be disappointed when they see this video and take notes on where they plan to go when they visit the city that never sleeps:) Take a bite of The Big Apple and it will make you come back for more!
