Packed with information
Review by Pm G. on 07/17/20 review stating Packed with information
I just watched this on PBS and it is just packed with useful information. It starts with some basic concepts such as needs vs. wants and goes all the way to saving for retirement and running your own business. This is a must have for teachers of personal finance, young adults, people starting a family, ... anyone.

Job Well Done
Review by Hobo J. on 07/17/20 review stating Job Well Done
Too bad the star rating doest go to 10 for this video. I just watched the program on PBS and am now purchasing it online. It covers all the basic financial principles and pitfalls that our young Americans need to know. Its informational, yet interesting and very easy to watch. To the makers of this video...Job Well Done.

Good for all ages!
Review by Journeyman on 07/17/20 review stating Good for all ages!
OK, this DVD does not tell you how to manage your money in retirement. BUT as a retiree I really enjoyed it. It has everything that a young adult needs to know to get started with handling money, to managing family affairs, to adding investments to their net worth (including 401K or 403B), to planning for retirement and the extra demands created when becoming a free-lancer (yes, you are on your own - but the IRS is watching). There are many youthful interviews giving a wide range of concern, or lack thereof, to finances. I guarantee that everyone can identify with it, regardless your place in life. How much do you want?

Finances made easy! I love it!
Review by Nalani on 07/17/20 review stating Finances made easy! I love it!
I was so tired last night from work, but I was mesmerized by this show. I hate numbers and figures, but this show made it so easy to understand the importance of our finances and insurance, etc. Although Im in my mid 30s, this was a great reminder about what I should be doing with my money and my life! I am also a social worker by profession and I purchased this to help the teenagers and families I work with to learn about finances and the realities of life. Thank you for making this DVD! They should really be teaching this stuff in high school and maybe we could help more individuals get off of social services and be more financially independent by being informed early in life about their financial choices and consequences of the lack of it. I also enjoyed the piece about the single mother becoming an electrician and the realities of how $15/hr doesnt cut it in this country, especially when you have children to support. I felt that this DVD covered just about everything I like to teach when it comes to Independent Living Skills for teens becoming adults and anyone that feels intimidated becoming educated or discussing financial knowledge. Much Mahalo from Hawaii!

I really like the way each topic is presented and the variety of people they interviewed with different financial backgrounds.
