So well detailed and descriptive. Love all of the sketches and photographs through out the whole book. Its a very big book with birds all over America in it

I ordered first one for a Christmas gift. I was so taken it, I ordered myself one. I have mentioned to many friends and relatives of my ordering experience with Shop PBS.

Very well done, My only complaint is that it is very large and very heavy and I need to prop it up on a table or desk to read it. So, I dont read it very often. It probably could have been done in two editions. Im leary of ordering more PBS books because they might be too large or too heavy to read comfortably.

A great and beautifully illustrated book.

I purchased the Birds of North America for my 15 year old grandson who normally prefers video games taking a chance that I really did know this teenager pretty well! I do, and I watched him spend a long time going through this huge book and showing his mother (my daughter) almost every page and certainly every bird he loves the most. This was a big hit for a teenage boy who just got a 4.27 GPS at the end of ninth grade!

Comprehensive! Love the beautiful color pictures of each bird.

Great resource...we have a lot of birds...kids love looking them up...and the bird sounds app is awesome!
