My brother I have struggled with mental illnesses for most of our lives. Each of us has had times when it didnt seem worth the trouble to keep looking for and hoping for solutions. This series demonstrates the evolution of mental healthcare and so many of the problems we have experienced with the developing systems of care. The final episode offers new hope for us. The one thing I would like to have seen added, perhaps as a fifth episode, is what people in the community can do to accelerate development of safe environments for those with or at risk of developing a serious mental illness.
