I am 81 years old and my grandfather was afraid of flying so I went on frequent train trips with him. I only wish that the DVD had been longer by covering more RR adventures! There was (I think on PBS) a series of a young American traveling globally by rail and it was also superb. Yes, inefficient but I am so glad to have partaken of it.

We watched all of France and part of Belgium of this DVD set. The title made me think it was going to be like a scenic trip on a train ride through these countries. Instead its more like a documentary on every train, passenger and freight, that each country ever made and the routes of each line.
