This shows the hardships that the US their allies suffered in WWII under the pressures of the NAZI regime. It was well done.

An Artful Presentation of the Cold Hard Facts
Review by Tom T. on 11/30/21 review stating An Artful Presentation of the Cold Hard Facts
From the first few frames of this film you are transported back in time to the atmosphere of 1940s Europe. You are given a sense of the ebb and flow in the prosecution of the war in France and the lead up to the battle to come. Interviews with veterans of the battle relate just how surprising the attack was to everyone and how truly horrible it quickly became. The soldiers tell how it looked from a foxhole eyes view and describe the brutality of this battle in raw emotional detail. David McCullough does a masterful job of presenting this story in a respectful and coherent manner.

Great Story told by men who were there!
Review by Airborne! on 11/11/21 review stating Great Story told by men who were there!
If you want to learn the history of the Battle of the Bulge from the men who lived it, this is it! The video is excellent but the personal accounts of both officers and enlisted makes this story come to life over simply having a narrator. An 89 year old in my VFW Honor Guard was there and I cant wait to share this video with him.

True Heroes

I want to say Thank-you,and God bless! to all of the men who fought in this battle, and for sacrificing their lives for the people of France. I was born in America, but my mother is from Brittany, France. She was three yrs. old during the time of this invasion. The true heroes of this war not only saved lives from Hitler, but also gave life to our family! :)

The Turning Point
Review by Big A. on 07/17/20 review stating The Turning Point
The Battle of the Bulge is second only to the D- Day Landing at Normandy, as a pivotal event of WW2 in Europe. Pattons brillance in relieving the be-sieged soldiers at Bastogne, and stopping the advance of the Germans was fantastic. It was only succeeded in the ignorance of the decision to push the Germans back, instead of cutting them off, and having them surrounded. Too many extra, un-necessary casualties by that decision.

"You don't have to be a military buff to be caught up in this riveting chapter in our history." - The Los Angeles Times

"Battle of the Bulge is as great and as moving a documentary as TV has ever produced." - The Chicago Tribune
