FRONTLINE: Escaping ISIS
FRONTLINE delivers a stunning look at the plight of women and children who are Yazidis, a religious minority that have been targeted by ISIS for particularly brutal treatment, as ISIS tries to impose upon them what it claims is a pure version of Islam, including harsh restrictions on women.
FRONTLINE's Edward Watts spent two months in Iraq and Turkey filming and securing undercover footage. Meet Khalil al-Dakhi, a former Iraqi lawyer, who leads an effort to rescue women and children taken captive by ISIS. In Turkey, Abu Mohammed, a 26-year-old Syrian heads another group against ISIS; rather than smuggling out women, he smuggles out footage shot secretly by him and his network of activists that provides a gripping look inside ISIS' brutal reign. With ISIS continuing to seize and hold territory in Iraq and Syria, Escaping ISIS reveals the gripping, first-hand accounts of women who escaped the group's capture and enslavement.

VIDEO USAGE RIGHTS
Why the AV version? Because it provides additional usage options for PBS videos. AV versions come with limited performance rights so they can be shown in classrooms, at PTA meetings, during after school programs, and transmitted on a closed-circuit system within a building or on a single campus. They also can be enjoyed in admission-free public screenings, which also makes them ideal for use by library patrons and businesses involved in community clubs and organizations.
