House: Colonial House DVD

Colonial House, 1940s, 1900 house and the pioneer era house are all exceptional - great series (I saw them all on air, but am buying the bundled DVD pack to watch again.... only suggestion, I wish they were available free online : )

I use this series to show Colonial times in my classroom. It is great for the students to see the hardships not only of colonists, but of 21st century individuals trying to live without the comforts weve come to know. I typically only show the first (getting to know the colonists and establishing the colony) and third episodes (establishing a theocracy and the breaking of rules), and each year my students beg to watch the rest; they are quite intrigued by the premise. It is rare to find a reality series actually worth anything. Thanks PBS.

Wow! I guess returning to the reality shows that started it all is worth it. I loved this! Watching Americans and Brits making it all work without is great entertainment. Got this and Frontier House for my Mother on Mothers Day, she says she will love me forever!
