As an HBCU alum, I found this presentation to be very informative. Not perfect but a good source of information.

The yearning for education by Blacks in the early years was touching and its unfortunate that too many Black kids dont place that value on it today. I dont think the film covered the events in the 60s as well as it should have because there was much more going on in the US and on campuses than was depicted in the film.

I have never felt more pride than I do in this moment. I am a part of the inaugural cohort of the Higher Education Leadership and Policy program at Howard University. We are training to be the leaders of HBCUs. This documentary is a reminder of our calling and charge.
