Heavy weight cotton, sturdy, I picked XL because I like it roomy. In other clothes I usually pick a large. This way I can also wear it over a turtleneck it I choose.

I normally wear size XL in all shirts. I received size XL OK. I find this shirt a little tight. I would say they run small for their size rating.

I've worn the sweatshirt only once and received a half dozen or more sweet remarks, thumbs ups and smiles from total strangers! Size accurately fits. Only negative-when I took off the sweatshirt, my underblouse and top half of my leggins were covered in cotton fuzzies from the inside of the sweatshirt. Hopefully , with a couple of sweatshirt washings this iue will resolve itself.
