It was the first Broadway show to be presented on television in its entirety, with all the excitement and magic of a live performance. In 1956, NBC broadcast it again, also live, with the same cast. It was wonderful to watch

It was wonderful to watch this show that I last viewed when I was a child. Mary Martin and all the cast members were fabulous. It was fun to clap so Tinkerbell could recover! Thanks for this DVD!

Mary Martin Peter Pan

When I was a little girl, I looked forward to watching this 1956 classic each year when it was televised. I enjoyed it just as much now, as I did way back then. I know the youngins are used to crystal clear, pristine pictures now, but I enjoyed the reality of how we first saw television in the very beginning.

Have always loved this original

Have always loved this original telecast. Martins performance is sublime and makes the audience suspend reality believing that she is they boy who flies. I recall watching this for the first time as a child and my joy has not decreased nearly 65 years later. The quality of the remastered DVD is great!

A Peter Pan to Remember

This version of Peter Pan is a nostalgic must have for me. I grew up watching this version with Mary Martin as Peter Pan and Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook every year during the December Holiday Season. For anyone of a certain age or those younger that have never seen these talented actors perform, get this. And ENJOY!

A favorite old video

Looking at the original broadcast date, this was already a few years old when I saw it (it was an annual broadcast when I was a kid). Many years later, I had the VHS and my daughter loved it. Now she has a little one and gave this to her for Christmas and she was thrilled.

Childhood Memory

I was eight years old

I was eight years old when this aired on television, and my sister and I were obsessed with the world of Peter and Wendy. Now I can share the magic with my grandchildren. What fun !

I have loved this version

I have loved this version of Peter Pan ever since seeing it on TV as a little girl! So glad I was able to find it again to show to my granddaughter. Love the songs, still remember many of the lyrics.
