This is one of the best PBS program on ethnic groups yet produced. Covers 2 centuries of Arab migration to the USA, starting with a lonely Iraqi Chaldean priest before the country existed and going through the large Christian Syrian migration at the turn of the century to the present Muslim Palestinian, Jordanian, and Egyptian migration (both Christian and Muslim). Shows the presence and influence of Arab Americans in all American institutions and the contributions made to American society. Excellent for sociology courses and social studies programs dealing with ethnicity and racism.
