Ultimate Veg (Hardcover)

My husband is the cook in our household. He is very much enjoying the new Ultimate Veg Jamie Oliver cookbook I got for him. He has been a fan of Jamie for years now, and wouldnt want to miss a new Jamie cookbook. Great recipes and great flavors!

I have reviewed the different meals to cook and I havent tried any of them yet. I am excited to try some new vegetable recipes.

This is rounding out a nice collection of vegetable-forward books, including Ottolenghi's Flavor and Bryant's Vegetable Kingdom, Deborah Madison's books and others. My husband is now becoming more comfortable in the kitchen and Ultimate Veg is very acceible for a newbie.

I grew up in the midwest eating meat and potatoes. The few vegetables we ate were not that tasty. I am in the process of becoming a vegetarian to support good health after watching several presentations on PBS. I recently watched Jamie Oliver do shows on preparing vegetarian foods and felt he really put together meals that I could make, were very tasty, and nutritious. I just received his book and an thankful for his work.

I have been a vegetarian for more than 30 years, and I was delighted to learn that he had published this book, which is the second Jamie Oliver cookbook Ive purchased. The book is logically organized, and the format of the recipes includes all of the information (including photos) to ensure success in preparing each dish. I love the Hints Tips and Nutrition sections in the last pages of the book just before the index. Watching him prepare various dishes from this book on the show is an extra perquisite.

I love to watch Jaime Oliver cook his great recipes with such exuberance -- I wish it came with a video / DVD. :-)

The book is what I wanted and delivery was timely [?]

I saw Jamie on Create TV the other day and he made a wonderful looking leek and spaghetti dish with cheese that I am excited to try. I have seen him cooking on his 15 min meals on another channel, and was impressed by his creativity. I am ordering his book today. I cant wait to try his recipes in his new cookbook.

This book is the best of what I like in a cook book. Appetizing pictures with ever recipe, easy to follow instructions, and flavorful food. Jamies theme song is playing in my head as I write this review!

We love this show and are very happy to have this book. The recipes are easy to follow, the ingredients are healthy, and the results are delicious! This cookbook definitely will help us stay on track with our lifestyle change.

Really enjoy PBS and their cookbook specials. Jamie Oliver uses easy and delicious ways to make a meal. My favorite is the Crispy Cauliflower Katsu soup dish!
