Fascinating Entertaining!

My husband and I (early 30s) watched this series on Netflix and absolutely loved it. I am purchasing the DVD for my parents for the holidays, with instructions to watch it and then hand it to my brother and his family to watch. I think my 7 year old nephew will find this just as interesting as the rest of us. My only wish: that there were more episodes!

Good choice of topics and contents easy to understand.

I loved viewing it on PBS and I liked Steven Johnson also. I want the whole family to watch it, including grandkids maybe they will enjoy it later in their life or use it for school projects.

Great Storyteller

I caught 2 partial shows on PBS and couldnt get it out of my mind how interesting it was. Of course, I didnt remember who hosted it or what it was called. After researching it a few months later I found it. Ive now watched all episodes and cant stress how awesome they were. This coning from someone who hated science in school (1980s). If they would have shown Mr. Johnsons programs then I wouldnt have skipped so many science classes. WELL DONE!! Looking forward to watching them again. Its inspirational how you tell/show how science has inspired the modern world and looking forward to further shows by you!

Very well done program, just dont watch the water one while you are eating dinner. This program was very informative and well thought out. I thought the spokesperson was very likeable and easy to watch.

Fascinating and Entertaining

We greatly enjoyed all the sessions of How We Got to Now so much that we ordered copies for all 3 sets of our Grandchildren as well as for our engineering and tinkering sons. My Grandfather ran an Ice House business. I never appreciated it so much until Steven Johnson explained how it developed and became US #2 export to cotton. But by this session we were already hooked on the series. We hope he does more.
