Benjamin Franklin DVD

An AMAZING story about a Founding Father of our nation without him (and others too) there would have been no United States of America. A MUST see! After renting this DVD I was so enthralled with the story and the production that I HAD to have it in my collection.

Let me say first, that I fell in love with Benjamin Franklin after seeing this program. Had I lived then, I would have truly fallen for him hard. This program uses the most wonderful actor to embody him and bring him to life with original text, of which there is plenty, and yet not enough. the commentators are brilliant historians who know how to narrate. It simply doesnt get any better. And notice, that the background music most of the time is as whimsical and humorous as Mr Franklin might have been. His lifes story is becoming real in this program. I had to own this DVD. Besides: it should be mandatory viewing for all those in public life, as most of the American Experience programs should be.

I had to laugh at old Ben and his way with the ladies. Another complex personality brought to life. I like the truth over something being sugarcoated. Ben rocks! The actor who plays Ben really brings him to life.

This is an excellent and for the time allowed comprehensive biography of an exceptional American. Comments by notable historians added to the enjoyment of this very well-made production. Simply perhaps the best biography I have seen.

A remarkable view into one of the most interesting Americans I have ever seen. To think that his measure of greatness in providing for the future of his fellow man is to me an immeasurable contribution to humanity.

We loved this show when we saw it, so we bought it for our son-in-law for his birthday.

Lots of detail about Ben and interesting performances by the actors

Knowledge is good, but Ben said on the day of judgement it will not be what languages we knew, but what we did that makes the difference. I loved this movie. I have it on in the background as I work at home to feed my subconscious mind with right thinking. It has helped me so much to be a better thinker. Knowledge is valuable when you can use it.

Fascinating both Franklin and his world. Truly brings the period to life. We look back and think it was easy. This makes real how tough it was. One can better appreciate how the United States was created. Should be shown in schools.
