Journey into Buddhism
Review by Pat on 07/17/20 review stating Journey into Buddhism
There are many things I liked about these three DVDs: the photography is superb. You feel you are on the river; you feel you are walking along with the people. Amazing. The voice overs are special: wonderful explanations, but not too much. Great for beginngers and those wanting to learn morne; if you know a lot about the places or Buddhism, there is still something to learn. The duration of the DVD is perfect: a little more than an hour: you are relaxed and away from the everyday. Ive watched them several times now and I learn something each time.

"Vajra Sky Over Tibet is an illuminating meditation on the deepest of Buddhist philosophical concerns - impermanence.  Study of a threatened culture and people is beautifully shot inside Tibet's most sacred sites and arrives with the blessing of the Dalai Lama.  The peaceful principles of the faith infuse every frame." - Richard Kuipers, Variety

"John Bush's enthralling and heartfelt documentary explores the beauty and the vulnerability of the Buddhist tradition in Tibet today and its importance to the Western world." - Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, Spirituality & Practice

"[Vajra Sky Over Tibet] is not only the year's best documentary, but also among the finest films ever made about religion... A work of power and glory." - Phil Hall, Film Threat

"Images of the landscape, temples, and art dazzle with their gemlike luminosity and vaulting immensity." - Peter Keough, Boston Phoenix

"A giant spiritual tapestry." - Amit Goti, LA Yoga
