Smart Phone Telescoping Lens

Havent had a chance to try it out. Bought as Christmas gifts.

The monocular is well designed and effective. The attachments to allow using the monocular were evidently developed as an add-on and are a bit awkward. Setting up the device to use with a cell phone requires balancing the elements and stationing them on a flat surface. One cannot hold the monocular, attachments, and cell phone in one hand to take pictures.

Originally marketed as a 20x40 zoom, the one I received as a gift is 20 power only. It is a decent, single-power monocular in that regard. The phone attachment hardware works but takes a bit of finagling to get everything lined up. However, the included mini-tripod with spider legs does not supply the support needed for decent photos with your phone; use a larger regular-type tripod. The mini-tripod may be fine for viewing, without the phone attachment.

The lens takes rounded photos--not regular smart phone rectangular. Theyre also relatively smaller than the display in the catalogue. Aside from that, the shots themselves were clear--no fuzzies!

As long as you center the subject well and leave enough to crop when editing, this lens might do.
